Leasing
Individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the common areas and their bedroom. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the spring semester, you’re not responsible for their payments.
Installments may be paid according to one of the following options:
- One installment: Due in full on August 1st
- Two installments: Due on August 1st and January 1st
- Twelve installments: The first installment is due on August 1st, and the remaining eleven are due on the first day of each following month
Please note that these payments are based on the total lease amount and are not considered monthly rent.
Monthly installments may be paid online through the resident portal or by check or money order.
Leases at South Street Station are binding and cannot be broken, even if your plans for the upcoming semester change unexpectedly. If you are not returning to your apartment, you can find someone to take over your lease and monthly installments through a process called re-letting. Contact our leasing office for more information about re-letting.
Renters’ insurance is required for residents at South Street Station. Residents may opt in to the community’s renters’ insurance plan for $15 per month; however, this coverage does not cover personal belongings in the event of fire, theft, or natural disasters.
For additional protection, residents may obtain their own renters’ insurance policy, provided it meets the community’s coverage requirements. To learn more about these requirements, please contact our leasing office.
